Announces 2007 Pinnacle Award Winners
Boise, Idaho- The International Festivals & Events
Association (IFEA) paid tribute to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival
(CCAF) in Denver, Colorado on September 19th, 2007 during the IFEA/Haas
& Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards Ceremony held at the IFEA’s 52nd Annual
Convention & Expo, Presented by Festival Media Corporation in
Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. – September 17-21, 2007, where they were
presented with 16 awards in the prestigious IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson
Pinnacle Awards competition.

industry. Entries in every budget category, from every corner of the
globe, allow us to recognize the best in our business while raising the
standards and quality of media promotions and events across the board.”
said IFEA President & CEO, Steven Wood Schmader, CFEE. Awards were
won in the following categories:
GRAND PINNACLE AWARD: Silver. CCAF has been honored with the Gold Grand Pinnacle Award in 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2005.
Gold Awards: 1) Best Educational Program: Year-round
art education and outreach, 2) Best Volunteer Program, 3) Best Program
within an Event to Benefit a Charity: Non-Profit Partner Program, 4)
Best Children's Programming: Artivity Avenue, 5) Best Public

Insurance, the professional competition drew 1,506 entries this year
from among the world’s top festivals and events.
Winning entries came from organizations as diverse as
Portland Rose Festival, OR; Greeley Independence Stampede, CO; Walt
Disney, FL; 500 Festival, IN; Hawai'i Tourism Authority, HI; The
Pasadena Tournament of Roses, OR; The Kentucky Derby Festival,
Louisville, KY; Memphis in May, Memphis, TN; Borderfest, Hidalgo, TX.
International contenders included such diverse event organizations as
International Festival Lent, Slovenia; Rotterdam Festival, The
Netherlands; Boryeong Mud Festival, South Korea; The Hague Festivals,
The Netherlands; World Gourmet Summit 2007, Singapore and the National
Capital Commission, Canada. Entries included posters, merchandise,
websites, print and broadcast ads, volunteer programs, community
outreach programs, and many other categories.
