At the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, our volunteers play a huge part in our success! Here's some important information on being a volunteer:
Attendance
We depend on your commitment to participate. Your presence and prompt arrival for your scheduled shifts are absolutely necessary. VERY IMPORTANT: If your schedule must change, or if you have an emergency, please contact us immediately!
Arrivals & Breaks
You must check in at the Volunteer Headquarters (Location TBD) at the beginning of each shift you work. Please try to arrive 20-30 minutes early. Volunteers will receive breaks for each shift, which will be coordinated by Committee Chairs.
T-Shirts
Every volunteer receives the Official Cherry Creek Arts Festival Volunteer T-shirt. This shirt must be worn while you are working at the Arts Festival. Please do not make any alterations to your T-shirt while you are volunteering for the CCAF. An opportunity to receive your t-shirt will be provided prior to the event.
Training
All volunteers, new and returning, are requested to review the Volunteer Handbook prior to the Arts Festival. The Handbook and other information will be sent to you prior to the event. Things change every year and it is vital that you know the new information.
Meals & Beverages
Volunteers will be offered a variety of snacks and beverages before and during their shift, along with a meal token to be used at any of the on-site food vendor booths. Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed before or during a volunteer's shift.

Art Auction
The Art Auction helps fund the Arts Festival's year round art education program. Join this exciting committee in coordinating the set-up and operation of the silent online auction consisting of over 150 donated pieces from our exhibiting artists. Help change the landscape of art education in our community. Computer skills are welcome but not a necessity! Chairs: Lori Derby, John Martin, Jim Penta
Artist Relations
How would you like to be part of our Artists Relations team and enjoy a one-to-one experience with our visiting artists? Our main responsibility is to provide a high level of hospitality, be the main contact for daily information and provide ongoing breaks and refreshments. All in all, our goal is to create an all round positive experience for each of the artists. Chairs: Diane Andrich, George Hernandez, Toni Knight, Rick Lupinetti, Barbara Weller
Artists Relations consists of the following three teams. Give them each a try if you'd like. You'll be glad you did!
Artist Hospitality Center Hospitality Center volunteers greet the artists and oversee the center where refreshments and information flow as well as great conversation exchanged between you and the artists throughout each day of the festival.
Artist Booth Support- Volunteers provide ongoing relief to the artists from their booths in order for them to take needed breaks during the hours of the festival. These volunteers oversee the artist's booth as well as communicates with the festival visitors. This is a great way to talk to the visitors and get to know the artists and their art. Volunteers to this area should be up for a lot of walking around the event site as well as sitting with some great artwork. Volunteers need to be 18 years of age or older.
Artist Errands - You can become a hero and create a positive experience for the artist while having a great time. The Artists Errands team delivers cool beverages and delicious snacks to the artists throughout the Arts Festival site. The Artists Errand team is always a welcome sight and is a great way to get to know the artists as well as view the art throughout the festival.
Beverage Coordination
Ensure that Product Suppliers are fulfilling the needs of Non-Profit Organizations, who staff and run beverage stands. Volunteers will be involved with inventory management and coordination of product distribution. If you are over 21 years of age, like to see all areas of the Arts Festival, do a lot of walking and interface with individuals from various organizations, this is the committee for you. Creation Station
This award winning activity area features interactive arts projects for children. Be prepared to laugh and watch kids create masterpieces. We need your help staffing activities, organizing materials and helping kids have a wonderful time. Our volunteers work hard but have a wonderful, artistic and colorful time. Chairs: Daniel James, Phreda Teppert, Susan Wooster
Culinary Arts
Oversee the overall cleanliness, appearance and general operations of culinary areas. Volunteers do not cook, serve food or work in the food booths. Volunteers notify the culinary Chairs when change is needed, trash pick up is required, if there is a problem with propane or electrical service, or any situation which might present a health or safety issue for the vendors, volunteers or festival guests. Culinary Demonstration
Volunteers with this tasty committee will get an up-close look at the artistry of culinary creations. A variety of duties such as assisting with seating, acting as liaison between chefs/chef assistants and audience, serving samples prepared during the demonstrations, and keeping the area neat and tidy are among a few of the responsibilities you will be asked to work Shift #1 (10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) or Shift #2 (2:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. on Sunday). Cultural Pavillion
Get an intimate look at the process as exhibiting artists reveal their secrets during the Artist Demonstrations. Committee volunteers assist with set-up and take-down of the artists' materials on stage, assist artists with their equipment, technical support, announcing the introduction of the artists, and booth-sit during demonstrations. Demonstrations take place Saturday & Sunday, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Monday, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. This committee requires a full day commitment, yet is a shorter day. Festival Ambassadors
Festival Ambassador volunteers are the #1 hosts and the eyes and ears of the Arts Festival. This elite group will wear a special Festival T-shirt and will be the first to meet and greet Arts Festival guests. Festival Ambassadors need a smiling face and a friendly attitude. Ambassadors will offer assistance, contact security when needed, distribute Festival Guide Magazines, answer questions, give directions, distribute sunscreen, help to keep the Arts Festival a safe place and, most of all, make our guests feel welcome. Festival Merchandise
Festival Merchandise volunteers ensure everyone takes a piece of the festival home. This friendly, customer service oriented group will wear a special Festival T-shirt and will be the first to introduce guests to the unique merchandise available only at the Festival. Festival Merchandise volunteers need a smiling face and a helpful attitude. Volunteers will answer questions about merchandise to assist with sales, restock shelves, work with cash, handle credit card machines, answer general festival questions and most importantly make sure festival attendants have a great shopping experience.

Finance
Volunteers assist with cash management, making change for vendors all over the siteand reporting of retail sales. Each function is busier during some hours and lighter during others. Flexibility is much appreciated! Accounting, banking and/or cash handling experience preferred but not required. Shift hours vary depending on numerous factors. To schedule your shift(s), the Chairs will contact you after your volunteer signup is processed through this site. Chairs: Jim Fore, Joe Klein.
Performing Arts
Want to achieve rock star status??? Here's where you start! Volunteers assist with the set-up /strike of stages, all production aspects and assist performers. Some lifting is required. Chairs: William Collier, Eddie Pierson, Marvel Pierson, Cade Bertrand, Dwayne Elom, Regina Stewart
Production
Production Committee volunteers will assist in two areas: (Please note which of the following areas of Production you would like to volunteer for on the application.) Chair: Aaron Keefer, Randy Burkland, Gill Farin
Set-Up/Tear-Down
Want to be a magician and transform Cherry Creek North into a Festival Wonderland in just one day? Put your mind and muscles to work in an experience you will never forget. We set it up, we tear it down, and we do it with a lot of spirit.
Signs & Banners
Production Committee volunteers make sure that all signs and banners are in their proper place. They are responsible for the festive look and for people knowing where to go. This committee needs assistance in June at the Saturday Work Sessions and during Set-Up/Tear-Down.
Volunteer Coordination
This committee will operate volunteer headquarters. These responsibilities include checking-in volunteers, distributing T-shirts and offering snacks and beverages to the Volunteer Team. CCAF Office Assistants
If you would like to give us a hand at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival office, please email mail to: volunteer@cherryarts.org with your dates and time availability. This opportunity is not on the application, so please email with interest. The Arts Festival is looking for people to help with phones, mail, filing, laminating, data entry and general office assistance.
