ARTIVITY AVENUE GOES “GREEN”
The Arts Festival’s Artivity Avenue Provides Fun for the Whole Family
DENVER, CO, June 2008 – This year’s Cherry Creek Arts Festival (July 4-6) announces the theme for the family-friendly activities featured at Artivity Avenue. There will be eight activities for families and children to participate in. Artivity Avenue will take place on Milwaukee Avenue between Second and Third Avenues in Cherry Creek North.
The Mosaic Mural Project, sponsored by BP America, continues from last year with three more murals being included this year. Festival attendees, young and old alike, will be given the opportunity to add their own artistic expression to the 20-by-6 foot white banner. Each participant will be provided with a five-by-five inch blank piece of paper on which they will be able to express their own design as well as following the themes of this year, “Have it all…” and “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.”
Other fun and exciting Artivity Avenue activities offered by the Arts Festival’s non-profit partners include: Seed Art presented by Denver Botanic Gardens, Animal Masks presented by The Children’s Museum of Denver, and Colorful Art presented by Colorado Parent. The Cherry Creek Arts Festival also sponsors five other family-friendly activities along Artivity Avenue.
This year’s Festival is proud to have five non-profit partners sponsoring activities on Artivity Avenue. For more information on the Arts Festival’s non-profit partner program, please visit www.cherryarts.org/users/nonprofitpartners.asp.
