The 2008 Arts Festival features 231 exhibitors, including 11 artistic award winners
returning from the 2007 show. The Arts Festival will feature approximately 231 exhibitors,
including 12 artistic award winners from the 2007 show. This year’s exhibitors
were selected from over 2,200 applications, making acceptance competitive throughout
the jury process. The panel of jurors was comprised of: Jennifer Garner,
Director/Curator/Assistant Professor for the Center for Visual Art Metropolitan
State College of Denver; Vallorie Henderson, Special Projects Coordinator for the
Kentucky Craft Marketing Program; Collin Parson, Museum/Galleries Exhibition Designer
at the Arvada Center for Arts and Humanities. The jury panel also included
two invited artists from last year’s show: mixed media artist Gregg Graff of Sequim,
Washington and jeweler Trish Stevenson of Black Earth, Wisconsin.
