2007 CHERRY CREEK ARTS FESTIVAL: EVENT DATES AND JURIED ARTISTS
DENVER, CO – The 17th Annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival (CCAF), takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 6, 7, 8, 2007, in the Cherry Creek North shopping district of Denver, Colorado.
On January 22, 2007, CCAF announced the 220 artists juried into the 2007 CCAF, which were chosen in a blind-jury process from 2,363 artist applications. Less than 10% of applying visual artists is juried to exhibit, making CCAF the most competitive show in the nation. Artistic excellence of original, handcrafted work is the sole criteria for selection of exhibitors. The only artists exempt from the jury each year are the 12 award-winning artists from the previous year, as well as the annual commemorative poster artist. For 2007, 82 of the 220 artists have never exhibited at CCAF, and 18 artists are Coloradans. The names of all juried visual artists will be revealed January 22, 2007 at http://www.CherryArts.org.

The cornerstone of CCAF is the visual artist exhibition, with just over 200 artists selected annually to exhibit and sell their works. The Arts Festival features artists in 13 different media categories including: ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, graphics and printmaking, jewelry, metalworks, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and wood. CCAF has been rated as the number one festival in both the artist and festival industries. CCAF was rated the #1 Outdoor Visual Arts Festival by the 2005 ArtFair Sourcebook, a leading publication of the exhibiting visual artist industry. Also for 2005, CCAF was awarded the International Festival and Events Association (IFEA) “Gold Grand Pinnacle”, that industry’s highest award. Since 1991, CCAF has won over 100 IFEA awards, including the "Gold Grand Pinnacle" in 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2005.
CCAF’s mission is to provide access to a broad array of arts experiences and support arts education in Colorado. Along with its signature summer event, CCAF produces “Young at Art”, a year-round education and outreach program at the core of the CCAF mission consisting of the Mobile Art Collection, World Rhythm Synergy and Student Art Buying Program.

CCAF is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit art services organization whose mission is to provide access to a broad array of arts experiences and support arts education in Colorado. CCAF produces its signature cultural event for Colorado annually during the 4th of July weekend.
