CHERRY CREEK ARTS FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES ARTIST PREVIEW EVENT

Get a Sneak Preview of the Exhibiting Artists on the Eve of the Event

DENVER, CO, June, 2007 – The Cherry Creek Arts Festival (CCAF) announces the first-ever Artist Preview Event to be held on July 5, from 7pm-10pm the night before the Festival begins. The public is invited to participate in this exclusive sneak-peak at 29 of the 232 visual artists and their artwork juried to exhibit at the 17th Annual CCAF.

The Artist Preview Event will be held along Cherry Creek North’s Clayton Street between Second and Third Avenues. This free event will feature brightly-lit artist booths, spirited beverage opportunities, strolling entertainment and more.

“A primary reason for creating this event was to provide the public with the chance to experience the Arts Festival for the first time at night and to enjoy the exhibited art under the Colorado evening sky,” said Tony Smith, Finance and Operations Director for the CCAF. “The Artist Preview Event is another stage for experiencing the new and exciting features of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.”

An internal committee selected the 29 artists chosen to show their work at the Artist Preview Event from a pool of pre-juried applicants. All exhibiting artists were given the opportunity to partake in this event with the goal being to expand the artists’ patron base.
