The Arts Festival Celebrates Independence Day with Fireworks on July 7th
DENVER, CO, June, 2007 – On July 7, 2007, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival (CCAF) will debut a spectacular fireworks display presented by Macy’s in honor of Independence Day. The fireworks will take place in Cherry Creek North at 9:30 pm with Fillmore Plaza as the best viewing location for attendees.
The 17th annual CCAF takes place this year on July 6-8, with the fireworks display as part of the “Festival Nights – Music on Fillmore” experience presented by Heineken and Pepsi Bottling Group. The Fireworks Spectacular will last approximately seven minutes and will be choreographed to an upbeat, contemporary music ensemble as the fireworks light up the Colorado night sky.
Guests can enjoy the fireworks extravaganza in two ways: watch the fireworks display directly from Fillmore or watch the fireworks from anywhere while listening to the music simulcast directly to your iPod or portable media player through the Festival’s new podcasting program. For more information about the podcasting program, visit http://PODCAST.CherryArts.org.
“A fireworks display has been in the works for the past couple of years. It wasn’t until recently that advances in the technology of pyrotechnics has allowed for this new Festival feature to be possible,” said Terry Adams, CCAF Executive Director. “We are thrilled to finally be able to celebrate our nation’s Independence Day with our guests.”
“Festival Nights – Music on Fillmore”takes place at the Janus Main Stage in Fillmore Plaza on both Friday and Saturday nights of the Festival and features live musical performances. This year’s musical features include Michael Friedman Jazz Quintet, Triple Nickel, Lao Tizer, and Opie Gone Bad. On Saturday night, Festival Nights attendees will be able to enjoy Opie Gone Bad before watching the fireworks display set off just across the street.
