CHERRY CREEK ARTS FESTIVAL GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
Festival Contributes More than Half-Million Dollars to Non-Profits

DENVER, CO, June 2007 – Since its inception in 1991, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival has given back an estimated half-million dollars to participating Non-Profit Vending Partners.  Last year alone, the Festival returned $29,200 to its Non-Profit Vending Partners from the sale of refreshments during the three-day event.

Every year, local non-profit organizations are given the opportunity to participate in the annual weekend event as retail vendors to the more than 350,000 Festival attendees. Each participating non-profit group receives approximately 12-15 percent of the sales generated by their refreshment booth as revenue for their organization. Vendor opportunities include: Pepsi products (including lemonade and water), alcoholic beverages, beer products, and ice cream and snow cone products.

Many of the Festival’s Non-Profit Partners continue to return each year, with the Montessori School of Denver being involved since the Festival’s inception in 1991. “As a school dedicated to service learning, this is a perfect opportunity for our families to give back, get involved and experience one of Denver's great community arts events,” says Stephanie Pax Flanigan, Head of School, Montessori School of Denver. “We are proud to be the longest running partner, and the only group who has participated every single year in the Cherry Creek Arts Festival!”
