FAST FACTS • The 20th Anniversary Cherry Creek Arts Festival takes place July 3, 4, 5, 2010, in Denver’s Cherry Creek North Shopping District, from 2nd to 3rd Avenues, on the six streets between Clayton and Steele Streets.
• What is the Cherry Creek Arts Festival? The Arts Festival weekend event is a world-class and award-winning celebration of the visual, culinary and performing arts, and enjoys an attendance of 350,000 visitors over the course of the 3-day event. The CCAF gives patrons the FREE, rare and special opportunity to meet and talk with international visual artists, sample fine cuisine, enjoy live musical performances and artist demonstrations, and entertain their families with interactive ‘ARTivities.’
• Admission to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival is absolutely FREE.

• Parking at the Arts Festival is easy:
o Bike: Go green and healthy- ride your bike to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival! Valet parking for bikes is available at two “corrals”: 3rd Ave & Steele St, and 2nd Ave and Detroit St. A suggested $1 donation for bicycle valet parking contributes to our participating non-profit’s mission.
o Car: There are three $5 “Festival Premier Parking” on-site locations, each benefiting the Arts Festival: 1) the Janus Capital Group building garage at 151 Detroit, 2) The Clayton Lane garage at 2nd and Columbine and 3) The Whole Foods parking structure at 2nd and University. The Cherry Creek Shopping center offers free parking. Please observe all City of Denver parking signs in the neighborhood surrounding the festival.

Accessibility Hour: A reserved and less crowded period for seniors, individuals with mobility concerns and their companions. Please note: the Arts Festival is fully accessible during all hours to all disabled visitors and senior citizens. Monday, July 5 9:00am to 10:00am
WHAT’S NEW for 2009
• The exhibiting visual artists are what’s new this year: 103 of the 230 artists are first-time-ever CCAF exhibitors, with 72 artists returning from last year. The remaining artists have exhibited 2008 and prior or were invited. The only artists exempt from the jury are the 12 award-winning artists from the previous year, as well as the annual commemorative poster artist.
ADDITIONAL AMENITIES AND INFORMATION:
Urgent Calls: Please contact the Arts Festival office at 303-355-ARTS (2787). ATM Locations and Credit Cards: ATM machines are located directly on the main streets throughout the festival site to serve you. Festival Merchandise Stores and many of the artists accept major credit cards. Credit cards are accepted at beer and spirited beverage locations. Beverage, Bottle and Can Policy: For safety reasons, cans and glass bottles are prohibited within the site. Revenue from on-site beverage sales allows the Arts Festival to remain an admission-free event. Proceeds also benefit our many non-profit vending partners’ important community programs. Beverage Service: Non-alcoholic beverages are offered at locations throughout our site. Beverages include an array of Pepsi products, lemonade and Aquafina bottled water. Beverages, Adult: Alcoholic beverages are sold within the Arts Festival site, including booths featuring Heineken beer products, wine and alcohol drinks. Regulations require that alcoholic beverages purchased at the event remain on-site. Arts Festival security will ask you to dispose of any alcoholic beverages before you exit or enter. Please don’t drink and drive; let a taxi be your designated driver. Community Relations Hotline: For Cherry Creek North Businesses and residents: (303) 355-2787 extension 212. Diaper Changing: A specially designated station with supplies is located on Milwaukee Street (Artivity Avenue). Festival Rules: For the safety and enjoyment of all festival attendees, please observe the following rules. Smoking is not permitted inside any structure or in any seating area on the Arts Festival grounds. Large signs and placards that may endanger or inconvenience the public attending the Arts Festival are prohibited. Bicycles cannot be ridden within the site and must be parked at one of our “bike corrals.” The riding of skateboards or use of roller blades or roller shoes within the site is prohibited. All packages are subject to search. The public address area is located on 3rd Avenue between Steele and Adams. The Arts Festival reserves the right to decline admittance to anyone who violates the reasonable policies established for public safety. For all related dates and times, CCAF obtains a Street Occupancy Permit from the City and County of Denver and fully retains all rights and benefits thereto for public rights of way. No photos or video of artwork without attendant's permission. First Aid: First aid service is available at Fillmore and 3rd Avenue. Qualified attendants can assist you or refer you elsewhere as necessary. Emergency transportation service is provided on-site. Sunscreen is available at all entrances and various sponsor locations; see one of our “Festival Ambassadors” for all needs. Food Service: The Arts Festival offers Culinary Avenue on St. Paul Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Denver’s finest food establishments, selected through a jury process, offer a tantalizing selection of unique and tasty culinary delights. Kulinary Kidz is a food court just for kids-- and the kid in all of us! Enjoy smaller-sized and family-oriented meals and snacks. In addition to Pepsi products, the CCAF refreshment stations will also feature ice cream treats and snow cones.
Framing: For your convenience, Official Framer, FastFrame of Cherry Creek operates a framing booth at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Fillmore Street and a convenient on-site store at 2nd Avenue and Clayton Street. General Information: Two Information Booths are on site, presented by The Denver Post, located at 2nd Avenue and Milwaukee Street and 3rd Avenue and Fillmore Street. Information is also available at all entrances to the Arts Festival from our Festival Ambassadors, or by calling the CCAF office at 303-355-ARTS (2787). Lost Children and Lost & Found: Contact the Information Booth presented by The Denver Post located at 3rd Avenue and Fillmore Street or any Arts Festival volunteer to assist you in locating lost members or items of your party. The Information Booth located at 3rd Avenue and Fillmore Street receives all lost and found items. After the Arts Festival, please call the CCAF office at 303-355-ARTS (2787). Official Festival Merchandise: Festival Stores are provided at convenient locations throughout the site. All Festival Stores accept major credit cards. Don’t miss the Festival Super Store located at the intersection of 2nd and Detroit Street. It features an exciting array of merchandise and the complete collection of Cherry Creek Arts Festival commemorative posters from 1991 to the present. Take art home with you and shop in the shade at the Super Store! Pets: Be kind to your pets — leave them at home when you visit the Arts Festival. City regulations state that seeing-eye dogs are allowed within the Arts Festival site. Pets are highly discouraged for the safety of the pet, due to the Arts Festival being on pavement, the heat, the number of people, and the possible injuries to both pets and patrons. Rest Rooms: Portable facilities are located throughout the site along 2nd and 3rd Avenues in the alleys.

The Cherry Creek Arts Festival (CCAF) takes place 4th of July weekend, and the 20th Anniversary CCAF is July 3, 4, 5, 2010. This annual event is a world-class and award-winning celebration of the visual, culinary and performing arts, and enjoys an attendance of 350,000 visitors over the 3-day event.

CCAF is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to provide access to a broad array of arts experiences and support arts education in Colorado. Along with the arts festival itself, CCAF fulfills its year-round art education and outreach mission through programs including the Mobile Art Gallery, Artist in Residence programs and the Student Art Buying Program.
